(08-07-2010; 21:11 PDT) BERKELEY, CA [Aquatic Park] — The 9th annual Peace Lantern Ceremony featured hundreds of hand-decorated, candlelit lanterns floating during sunset. The Japanese-style event expressed desire for world peace and remembered those who died in war, particularly to commemorate the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki 65 years ago. Shakuhachi music by Stephen Ross, performed at the ceremony.
